About Rotary
Rotary International
The Rotary International is the world’s first service club organization. More than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders volunteer their time and talent to further the Rotary motto, Service Above Self. They provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Rotary international clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds.
Rotary Foundation
The Rotary Foundation enables Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty. The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world.

Rotary at Lake Chelan
Chelan Rotary established in 1926 now has fifty eight dedicated individuals who have committed their service club to a focus of giving back to their community locally and internationally. The Century Challenge and now the Cycle de Vine has allowed their club to review each quarter funding requests received form throughout the Greater Chelan Valley area. An annual Salmon Barbecue is dedicated to providing Scholarships for the Chelan and Manson School Districts. In the last five years the Chelan Rotary has sponsored three beautification projects involving prominent city projects in need of help. Two of these resulted in Parks and another is planned for 2009. The money raised by Chelan Rotarians helps to make the community a better place to live.
